Over recent years there has been a growing awareness of the important role that animals play in the lives of children and their families. In the context of East West we acknowledge the potential for them to play a vital role therapeutically, pedagogically and in our moral and ethical development. We have always been open to, and encouraged, animals visiting us and believe that the benefits and opportunities that relationships with animals present, can only enrich our community and the work we do with children.

Inline with this philosophy, Clementine, a fluffy, black spoodle started working at East West in April 2018 as a 16 week old puppy. She usually works 3 days a week, and has become a much loved part of our community. In her non-work time Clemmie enjoys walks to the park to play fetch, playing with her puppy friends
​and barking at random animals on TV.
Clementine is currently on extended leave as she didn't attend during covid, and we want to re-introduce her in a way that works for everyone - however she does enjoy occaisional Kinder excursions and pop in visits to East West which are enjoyed by all.
